Welcome

Special thanks to Hayden(my son) and Gavin & Tracey Murray (Hobohome.com) in assisting with setting up our Web Site and the amazing information we have obtained from them.

Welcome to our tikitourer.com.au web site.  Firstly we would like to introduce ourselves – we are Jude Morgan & Tui Hohaia. We have had a dream to travel Australia for a few years now.

In December 2008, after searching the Campervan & Motorhome Trader month after month & eyeing up an American Motorhome several months in a row, we decided that we had had enough of just looking- we wanted some adventure in our lives.

Decision was made the Wednesday night, flew to Melbourne Friday overnight from Perth bought a 1986 36’ Foretravel and started driving home to Perth Monday afternoon. What an experience that was! Didn’t know how anything worked but made it home safely by Thursday night.  First time driving the Nullarbor, all up some 3,420 km. More experiences on our Getting Ready page

Being members of the CMCA (Campervan & Motorhome Club of Australia) for some time we were now in the position to attend local Rallies and learn from the seasoned travellers.

It is our intention to take to the road with no preconceived ideas about where we will travel or for how long, keeping a travel diary from day 1. Date for departure yet to be determined.

  1. Hi, Jude and Tui
My name is Bernie and my wife is Cheryl
We are still is the process of fitting out a twin deck volvo bus (a few months to go hopefully) and then we intend to travel and work our way around oz. I am a builder and painter qualified and have done alot of work on cattle stations in the past. This time we intend to take it a bit easier but still work. It’s a great lifestyle and we found that when you work in an area you get to meet alot more people and learn more about the area. We find it motivating to see other people doing what we enjoy and look forward to meeting up on the road somewhere to swap stories, ideas and experiences. I haven’t got a web site but I do intend on getting one set up before we start travelling I might have to get Gavin (Hobohome) to set it up for me.
Hope to talk to you’s or meet up with you’s in the near future.
    Bernie.
