Eyre Peninsula Part 2

We have now completed the Eyre Peninsula and what a magic place it is! Our 1st stop after our previous Blog was Port Lincoln National Park.  $10 entry fee and $7 a night for camping.

Emus and Kangaroos went right passed the Bus. Not far down the road was Coffin Bay National Park which we were told was a must see. We stayed at the Coffin Bay Caravan Park for 2 nights, and took Suzuki off the trailer to explore the National Park.

Spectacular!!! Streaky Bay was planned for the next day, however we struck a terrible storm in Elliston so decided to park up at a caravan park.  If you ever go there, the Park by the Jetty is the best option.  Great facilities! A huge Camp Kitchen with a fire, which we needed that night.  Also met up with some great people and ended up spending the next night at a free camp with Wayne & Tricia. It was a worthwhile stopover and we drove around the coastal cliff drive in Suzuki.

Following Wayne & Trish we saw them turn off to some caves so decided to follow.  We would have missed the sign had we not seen them turn off.  Magic!

Into Streaky Bay, had a look around town with lunch at the Pub, then set off to find our Free Camp.  Beaut spot but it was cold.

Next stop Ceduna. Timing was just right for the Oyster Festival.  Pity Jude doesn’t like Oysters! Stayed there 2 nights, spending most of Saturday at the festival.  Tui had a great time on the Go Kart ride but was told off for being too aggressive. Jude bought a new hat, haven’t had much sun since! A pretty basic street parade but it was fun.

Our Eyre Peninsula journey nearly complete we stopped at a free camp at Point Sinclair.  A local who we talked to at Streaky Bay told us about the spot.  We decided to park away from the Cliff in case of a rock fall, then some locals arrived with some big machinery to start installing some new loos so we had to move back to near the cliff.

Tui decided to get up at Sunrise the next day to catch a fish off the Jetty.  Alas no fish!!

Well that’s about it for now!  Until next time “Laugh more, Live longer”.
